This potato washer from Finland, Potturi, has already gained a lot of popularity! To clean your new potatoes, all you need is one hand, one minute, and a little water! Simply add about 0,5 kg of potatoes, close the lid, shake without water and after with water. Within a minute, your potatoes are clean.
The idea of founding Potturi and the company dates to 2016, when 3 young fathers were in trouble for washing new potatoes on their cottage vacation. Their holiday ended with a potato washer drawn on paper. Finland is known in the world for its saunas, nature and design, so it is no surprise that in the making of Potturi, these factors also had a significant impact.
You can use it in a lake, sea, bucket, basin and sink (although you should be careful not to splash water).
This Potturi is made from discarded plastic products, such as food turners and food containers. The recycled plastic material has been tested according to the EU Plastics Regulation.
Potturi is 100% recyclable, it can still be recycled chemically and mechanically.
